"July 7, 2010 To the owners of Kahuna Powersports: I don't normally write these kind of letters, however, my recent experience with Kahuna Powersports was so over the top that I am compelled to break the tradition. Last July (2009) I purchased a new Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custon Classic bike from you. At the same time I also purchased a new Scorpion helmet and a bike cover. The bike has been wonderful as has been the support, service, and follow-up thereof. Just routine stuff oil changes etc. About two weeks ago, I was out for a ride and reached up to my helmet to deploy the embedded visor which it contains. To my dismay it failed to operate . After pulling over and examining it, I discovered that the hinge mechanism which holds the visor had a cracked and rendered the visor inoperable. At the first opportunity I stopped by Kahuna and spoke with Scott in the accessories department. I showed him what had happened and asked if there was something that could be done, hoping that at least there might be a parts kit or something. Scott informed me that the warranty on this particular helmet was six months which didn't surprise me, but then suggusted that he could call the Rep. at Scorpion ans see what might be done anyway. To both my surprise and delight, he came back a few moments later and told me that he was going to give me a new helmet with he promptly did. This is a level of support I was not expecting, but wait, it gets even better. In order to leave me old helmet with Scott, I had to remove my Scala Rider Q2 mount which holds the mike and transceiver affixed to the helmet. Since this particular helmet required that I use the adhesive mount instead of the clamp mount(which I have on my full face helmet), I had to cut away the foam adhedive backing which, while effectivley removing the mount, also spoiled it for redeployment on the new helmet. I asked Scott to order me a new mount and call me when it came in. Scott called me today. He informed me that the new mount was in and I could come pick it up at my leisure. I asked him how much it would be(the original was a christmas gift). Guess what he said.......NO CHARGE!!!! Why anybody in their right mind would ever consider buying a bike someplace other than KAHUNA POWERSPORTS defies all reason. You guys are fantastic!!! You can rest assured that I will be extolling your virtues at ever opportunity I have. I will also be purchasing my next bike from Kahuna. The way you guys stand behind the products you sell and your commitment to the level of service you provide your clients is a example for all of us. Keep up the good work. "

I wanted to say what a great evening it was and the idea of having women's motoevening was awesome!!! Women are becoming more and more involved in the motorcycle industry and this idea just rocks. "I wanted to express my sincerest appreciation for the excellent service and advice that I received from this dealership in July. I have a '95 Virago 1100 that I needed to get top end parts for in a big hurry. I therefore found myself in the position of asking for them to rush deliver some parts for me requiring them to send a staff member to pick them up at the warehouse to meet my deadline. I got the impression that they really understood my sense of urgency and made ever effort to accommodate me. In addition, I had a mechanical question related to my rebuild and was given the opportunity to speak to their master mechanic about it even though I had never bought a bike there or had one at their shop for servicing. I needed to service my bike and was really pressed for time. I called one dealership and was given an appointment a week to 10 days later. I called Kahuna and Tony was very understanding of my situation and accommodated me. I dropped off my bike and a couple of hours later picked it up fully serviced. "I wanted to let you know about the great service I received from your parts dept. I apologize for not being sure but I think his name is Mike? I ordered a new plastic rear fender over the phone last week (the ugly bit that the youngsters normally lop off). This guy was good, great telephone manner, knowledgeable and patient as I described my YZF 600’s smashed up fender. Mike was friendly and professional with no hint of the scripted bull shit, if you know what I mean. As you can imagine, I was anxious to let you know because this sort of service seems to be fading fast. Am I losing me sense of humour or does it seem that while ordering a car, a fridge, a telephone or cable TV package the ordeal can be frustrating ? What blessed relief to be treated well. "I would like to thank the service staff at KAHUNA from the bottom of my heart. Just when you think everyone has forgotten the phrase CUSTOMER SERVICE! I took the day off work and had driven my Kawasaki Vulcan to Toronto for an ultra sound test on my thigh and when I got there found that I had a slow leaking back tire. This was Friday afternoon around 3PM and I had to get back home which was 2 hours away. I was beginning to panic thinking that no one is going to be able to assist me in my dire need of an inner tube replacement. I drove to the Harley dealer on Yonge St. Toronto and one of the guys in service said "I can't help, I don't have any metric tools in the shop!" RIGHT! and said the Suzuki dealership across the street might be able to help you so I drove over to Suzuki and they looked at the tire, pointed out the nail that was causing the problem but didn't have a tube or the time to fix it. They told be where KAHUNA Power sports was located and filled my tire up with enough air to make it there. Every time I had to stop at a red light I would look down to see how far the tire had dropped, sweating and anxious I pulled into KAHUNA, walked into the service area and was immediately asked if I had an appointment to which I replied "no, but I have an emergency!" and explained my predicament. I thought for sure FRIDAY 3PM, NO WAY!!! But to my amazement there was no problem. The service staff was amazing they checked the bike, acquired a tube from parts and fixed my tire with not even the slightest hesitation. You don't see that anywhere anymore, it's all about getting the heck out on time and who really cares about the customers, as long as we get their money the rest doesn't really matter. WELL NOT AT KAHUNA!!!! KAHUNA CARES!!!!! When they said "no problem, we will get you going!" my anxiety went down immediately 100% - I LOVE KAHUNA... I will be back! People that care get my money! My next bike is coming from KAHUNA! And I'll bet you know where I will never go again! THANKS A TONNE KAHUNA John Patterson"

"Tony in your Service Dept. is amazing! I was standing in line waiting for a part I ordered, and just started to chat with Tony, while the three customers ahead of me at the parts counter were being taken care of. Tony offered to check if my parts were available, he grabbed them, I paid for them and was out the door in under 5 minutes. My apologies to those 3 guys waiting line, but Tony did volunteer to check.
